FTOREST — is the nonabsorbable synthetic yarn made of polyester twisted yarn with fluoroelastomer-based covering, sterile, is authorized for use and has been used in surgical practice since 1990 for putting in stitches, ligatures and kitting of atraumatic suture needles.

FTOREST was developed by “VNIISV” in 1989. Foreign analogues are ETHIBOND, T-CRON, M-DECK, SYNTHOFIL.

FTOREST polyester yarn has high strength and polymericfluorine covering eliminates  capillarity and wicking, increases durability of the surgical knot, is atraumatic at carrying out through tissue.

The yarns are flexible, convenient in handling; reaction of tissues is minimal. Color is light green.
The yarns are delivered sterile in lengths of 0,75; 1,5 and 3,0 meters. The yarns are packed in two tight packages.

Conventional counts are 4/0 (1,5); 3/0 (2); 2/0 (2,5); 2/0 (3); 0 (3,5); 1 (4); 2 (5); 3 (6)

Application

• For suturing of muscles, skin fascia, hypodermic cellular tissue, mucous membranes, sinews.
• In cardiovascular, abdominal, thoracal, esthetic surgery, anaplasty, orthopedy.

Polyester surgical yarn of green color twisted not sterile

Polyester nonabsorbable yarn of green color, twisted, is authorized for use and has been used in surgery as suture since 1990. It has been developed by “VNIISV”.
The suture is made by twisting from white or green polyester filament yarns, is characterized by high biological inertness, strength, elasticity, good handling, dense weaving which reduces the surface roughness and wicking, firmly fixed by the surgical knot.
Foreign analogues are MERSILENE, DACRON, DAGROFIL, TERYLENE, SURGIDAC, ASTRALENE.
Shelf     life  is   2     years.
The yarns are delivered sterile in lengths of 0,75; 1,5 and 3,0 meters. The yarns are packed in two tight packages.
Conventional counts are 4/0 (1,5); 3/0 (2); 2/0 (2,5); 2/0 (3); 0 (3,5); 1 (4); 2 (5); 3 (6).

Application

• For suture of skin aponeurosis, hypodermic cellular tissue, muscles, fascia, mucous membranes, sinews, vessels and also as ligature materials.
